Trail Life USA

Troop NC 4316, derived from John 3:16, is a program of Tar Landing Baptist Church.   Trail Life meets most Thursday nights (6:30-8:00pm) during the school year.  We are a Christ-centered, boy-focused outdoor adventure program and ministry.  We believe it is OK to be a Christian man and a “real” man, with hiking, fishing, camping, and experiencing God’s creation! Boys will learn about heritage, values, outdoor skills, respect, and so much more.

Currently, our troop consists of over 40 boys from ages 5-17 years old.  We break out into age groups but begin and end our meetings together as a troop. Groups are based on age and school year (K-1, 2-3, 4-5, 6-8, & 9-12), with multiple leaders for each group. Our leaders adhere to the Statement of Faith and Values, have had a background check, and have completed a Child Safety Youth Protection course.
